How Partnership Works

The Outreach

My inquiry form asks real questions: what you’re building, what’s breaking, and what the next stage demands. Take your time with it. Your answers are how I begin listening, and how we both find out quickly whether this is a fit worth exploring.

The Fit Conversation

We spend one honest hour. You’ll tell me where the operational weight actually sits and I’ll tell you plainly whether I’m the right person to carry it (and if I’m not, I’ll say so and point you somewhere better.) Then we both step away. Neither of us decides in the room. I take a few days to sit with it, and I’d encourage you to do the same. A partnership this close should begin from clarity, not momentum. If we’re both a yes, you’ll receive everything, from scope to terms, in writing.

The Foundation Weeks

Every engagement opens with an embedded foundation period: roughly the first 4–6 weeks. During this time, I get inside the actual machinery of your calendar, your team, your systems, the decisions stuck in your inbox, and I map how the organization really runs, not how the org chart says it does. From here, you get a working operating picture, a prioritized build plan, and weight already moving off your shoulders.

The Ongoing Partnership

From there, we settle into a steady rhythm:

  • A weekly working session for decisions, priorities, and the week’s architecture

  • A set time of embedded capacity each week, because I’m in the work, not adjacent to it

  • Async access between sessions. I am a thinking partner on tap

  • A quarterly recalibration to step back, measure the structure against the mission, and adjust scope deliberately

Engagements are six months minimum.

The Seasons

At each quarter’s recalibration, we decide together what the next season needs. Building your capacity to not need me is part of the job.
